Approved by the state of Ministry of Education and the State of Management Bureau of Chinese Traditional Medicine, Guilin Medical University is qualified to offer academic courses to international students and the teaching of Chinese medicine abroad.
The university carries out the external exchanges and cooperation. In recent years, a dozen of teachers have been sent to the following countries, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan for academic exchanges and further study. About 30 prestigious professors, members of the Chinese Academy of Science and the Chinese Academy of Engineering including the Nobel Prize winner for Medicine, Dr. Kenneth Olden, Gate Shake, Zeng yi, Liu geng tao, Jin guo zhang, Cheng shu jun, Fan dai ming have been to the campus to give lectures,to offer guidance and suggestions on teaching and research techniques. Through the exchanges and cooperation, the popularity and influence of the university has been greatly enhanced as a result.
