University Motto：Carry forward Chinese traditional virtues and treat patients with superb medical skills

　　The university endeavors to build the value and the idea of "carrying forward Chinese traditional virtues and treating patients with superb medical skills" in all medical professions, which has four meanings: firstly, to incarnate the nature of modern education and essential notions that “In education, nurturing people is the principal and moral education goes the first” advocated by the CPC Central Committee, to materialize the nature of a medical university, and to demand both professional skills and noble medical ethics for medical doctors; secondly, to manifest good behaviour of the general teachers and the medical personnel at our university do good deeds for saving the dying and assisting the wounded; thirdly, to make known our lofty ambitions and willingness in taking up medical challenges, and embracing heartily the new medical advancement whether being scientific breakthrough, or any medical improvements generation after generation; lastly, to demonstrate our spirit of self-sacrifice as medical professions in helping people of all sorts of backgrounds in our society with their physical infirmity, sickness, etc.
