Application Procedures

　　Application materials are available from the Office of International Education, Guilin Medical University. February 30 is the postmark deadline for filling in all the application documents considered for admission. Applicants are notified of the admission decisions at the end of April. Students are admitted to university every new term (begins at September 1) only.

★Required Documents (must be written in English or in Chinese)

Undergraduate program applicants should submit the following documents:

1. "International Student Admission Application Form" of Guilin Medical University (It can be obtained by downloading from the homepage of College of International Education (English version),and ￥350.00(RMB) nonrefundable application processing fee, which is payable by only money order or travel check to:

2. Photo copy of senior high school diploma.

3. Official transcript from high school attented.

4. Financial Certification Statement.

5. None-adverse behaviour certification statement from local police department

6. HSK test score (minimum level 3) if available.

（Note: Application materials Items No.2 to No.6 must be notarized by a notary agency）.

★Master degree program applicants should submit the following documents:

1. "International Student Admission Application Form" of GuilinMedicalUniversity (It can be obtained by downloading from the homepage of College of International Education (English version),and ￥350.00(RMB) nonrefundable application processing fee.

2. Photo copy of college (university) diploma.

3. Official transcript from college (university) attented.

4. Financial Certification Statement.

5. None-adverse behaviour certification statement from local police department

6. HSK test score (minimum level 3) if available.

The above application materials should be mailed directly to:

7. Two recommendation letters from two professors, which should be mailed by the profs.directly to the Admission Office,College of International Education, Guilin Medical university,109 Northern Huangcheng Road No.2, Guilin, Guangxi 541004, PR. China.

★Chinese Language Requirements

　　Nonnative Chinese-speaking applicants who have lived in China for fewer than four years as the first day of the term must submit the HSK test results as the document required. The applicants can prepare for and take this test in their own country; it is advisable, however, to prepare for and take this test in China by taking one extra year for Chinese Language learning (i.e.,the time for Chinese language learning has been included in the duration of a study program).

★Evaluation of Applicants

　　There is an Admission Committee consisting of four faculty members and two education administration officials. The committee reviews applicants whose application documents are received by February 30 deadline. The following factors are considered during the evaluation process.

· Completion of the required documents

· Academic achievement in the school attended.

· Financial supportsof his or her

· Health condition

　　Having reviewed your application, if it is approved, the Office of The College of International Education will issue the applicant an Admission Letter and JW 202 form (for visa application) in early May.

　　After receiving Admission Letter and JW 202 form, you should be able to apply for your passport and X visa for the entry into China on the scheduled time.

Besides, the admitted applicant asked to present the following documents when enter into China and register at the university.

1. 12 photos (size equals to that used for passport )

2. Passport with visa

3. Personal Identification Card

4. Physical Examination reports
